Best Car GPS Systems

Loads of car gps systems are available and it is tough to decide on the best model or make that you should buy for your car. Magellan, Garmin and TomTom are the market leaders in the best car gps systems category. But, there are other players too who make specific gps models for both the niche and general "car gps" markets

Basic car gps systems don't do any thing different from any gps receiver. They calculate your position on earth by receiving signals from the gps satellite network. But when you are driving, just your location coordinates on earth at this moment is not of much use. You need more information like what route to follow, which exit to take, are there any gas stations nearby, is there a good eating place where you can stop with your family and much more.

Today's GPS systems for cars come equipped with a variety of features that will decode those gps signals, calculate and tell exactly which street intersection you are presently on and if you tell the system where you need to go, it will instruct you on the route and roads to take and exactly where you need to turn and where to stop.

Added services will also let you know the traffic position on a particular busy road any alternate routes you can take. It will let you know approximate amount of time it will take to cross the busy section of the road and so on. There are tons of other features that have been included into today's car gps systems.

Hey, all you need to do is find those features that are more important and necessary for you and get it. Easy? If life was that easy.....
